🌟 The Junction Multibank – Emergency Support Changing Lives Every Day

At The Junction Multibank, we’re proud to work alongside Amazon and Multibank UK and our amazing funders within Stockton Borough Council, Middlesbrough Borough Council Redcar & Cleveland Council and Hartlepool Brough Council to make sure families, young people and adults in crisis get the essentials they need – fast.

As the cost of living continues to put pressure on our communities, demand for urgent support is rising. That’s why our Emergency Order system is so vital. It allows our referral partners to request essential items within hours when someone’s situation changes suddenly, or when a family has nothing left to fall back on.

What this looks like in real lives

In 2025 alone, the Emergency Order service:

  • 📦 Delivered 7,557 essential items

  • 🏘 Supported 290 households

  • 👨‍👩‍👧 Helped 847 people

  • 🚨 Responded to 48 urgent referrals

Schools, social workers, family support teams, NHS colleagues, housing organisations, probation services, leaving‑care teams, neighbourhood wardens and our own Junction services all rely on this fast‑track lifeline.

We see emergency requests come through for:

  • Rough sleepers arriving cold, wet and exhausted

  • Families moving into an empty home with nothing

  • Parents fleeing domestic abuse with only the clothes they're wearing

  • People rebuilding their lives after fires, accidents or financial crisis

  • Children with additional needs who need sensory or comfort items urgently

What our partners tell us

“The Moses Project are in desperate need of items. Men are arriving freezing cold, soaked through and exhausted after sleeping rough in snow and ice across Stockton and Middlesbrough.”

“I’m supporting a gentleman with ongoing physical and mental health issues. He has just left prison and only has a pair of shorts. He urgently needs clothes and some food.”

“I’m working with a mum and two young children who fled to Middlesbrough for safety. They arrived with no clothes and no toys – one child has SEN and needs sensory supports.”

And the impact is immediate

One mum told us:

“Oh my god, I never expected this much. I was so worried about how I could feed my son. We’re moving house and all my money is gone. I was embarrassed to ask for help today but I’m so glad I did. Thank you from the bottom of my heart – you have no idea what a relief this is.”

This is why The Junction Multibank matters.
