Press Release – 21st May 2026

Hellens Residential partners with The Junction to support Tees Valley communities

Hellens Residential has entered into a new, two-year partnership with Tees Valley charity The Junction to support children, young people and families across the region.

The charity offers a range of services focused on mental health and emotional wellbeing, youth support, employment and tackling poverty. The charity distributed more than 2.2 million items through its multi-bank project last year alone.

The partnership will see Hellens Residential work alongside the charity through fundraising and wider community initiatives aimed at supporting local people facing hardship and improving access to opportunities.

As part of the partnership, the business will support a number of The Junction’s fundraising activities, including its annual golf day and the Step Up for Young Carers initiative.

The partnership will also support The Junction’s multi-bank project, which distributes essential household items and supplies to individuals and families experiencing poverty across the Tees Valley.

Kate Hellens, managing director of Hellens Residential, said: “Hellens Residential is really excited to be starting a new partnership with The Junction where we’ll work together over the next two years.

“We had already been working with The Junction through its multi-bank project to help support some of our tenants, so the collaboration felt like a natural fit.

“It was really important to us to give back to the communities we work in and this felt like a genuine partnership where we can support the fantastic work the charity is doing across the Tees Valley, while also helping connect our tenants and communities with the services they provide.”

Beth Major, chief executive of The Junction, said: “The support from Hellens Residential is really important because they understand their communities and the challenges many local families are facing.

“This partnership will help us continue delivering services that support children, young people and families across the Tees Valley, including our young carers services and the multi-bank project. Partnerships like this make a real difference because they help sustain services and provide opportunities for people who may otherwise miss out.”
