We're proud to be sharing our Back-to-School Campaign with ITV News Tyne Tees 📣

Our CEO, Beth Major, shared:

Everybody is likely to struggle at some point in their lives, but people don’t have to struggle alone.
No child or young person should be disadvantaged in their life chances because they have a childhood that is filled with surviving.

In Tees Valley, 38.7% of children live in poverty - more than double the national average.
The added-up cost of simply attending school is overwhelming:

👕 Uniforms, 📚 stationery, 🚌 transport, 🍎 lunch boxes…

➡️ Up to £1,000 a year in Primary School
➡️ Nearly £2,300 a year in Secondary School

That’s why we launched our first Back-to-School campaign, and the response has been incredible. Nearly 3,000 families and children have already been supported.

Because when children walk into school with the essentials they need, they walk in with confidence, ready to learn, belong, and succeed.
