Celebrating One Year of Impact with The Junction Multibank 🎉

At AV Dawson’s The Staithes, overlooking the River Tees, we recently celebrated a powerful milestone — one year of The Junction Multibank transforming lives across Tees Valley.

In just 12 months, this collaborative initiative has achieved:

🧡 2 million+ essential items delivered to families facing hardship
🧡 1,300+ referral partners enabling frontline support
🧡 £10 million worth of products distributed
🧡 £5.87 social return for every £1 invested (confirmed by Social Value Lab)

With 32% of children living in poverty — and some wards exceeding 85% — the Multibank is more than logistics; it’s a lifeline. By providing essentials, we help children learn, thrive, and feel secure, while reducing stigma and improving mental health. Teachers, social workers, and health professionals are now better equipped to support families with dignity and compassion.

The celebration brought together charity leaders, business champions, and partners who have driven this success, including Five Lamps, Catalyst, AV Dawson, Amazon, and The Junction Multibank team. Their shared commitment shows the power of collaborative compassion in tackling poverty.

We also heard inspiring reflections from Beth Major (CEO, The Junction), Lisa Pickard (CEO, Five Lamps), Clare Besford (Catalyst Stockton), Simon Nott (Multibank Manager), Katie Brooks (Young Carers Coordinator), and Amazon’s Josh Adamson — reminding us that the true impact goes far beyond numbers.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to AV Dawson for sponsoring the event and providing amazing hospitality. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to our incredible Junction Multibank team, whose daily dedication ensures no child, family, or individual in Tees Valley faces hardship alone.

As we look ahead, The Junction Foundation remains proud to lead this game-changing partnership. If you’re inspired to support or get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can build a Tees Valley where everyone belongs.
