Tees Heritage Walk 2026

Tees Heritage Walk

Join us for the annual Heritage Walk - an energetic and fun way to raise money for children and young people across the Tees Valley. Discover the region’s rich industrial heritage as you walk for a great cause.

Starting at Middlesbrough College, walkers can sign in from 08:30 and set off anytime between 09:00 and 11:00. The main route follows the River Tees to Stockton’s Infinity Bridge and back.

The full route is 11 miles and includes several bridge crossings and the Tees Barrage. Along the way, a series of QR code signs will share stories about the river’s rich industrial heritage.

Walking for The Junction

If you are walking for The Junction, you’ll receive:

  • A Junction T-shirt

  • A Junction pin badge

  • A certificate

Please make sure you:

We kindly ask that every walker aims to raise a minimum target of £50 in donations.
Once you’ve signed up, we’ll support you in setting up your JustGiving donation page.

Be a Junction Hero!

This year, we’re encouraging participants to don their capes and become Junction Heroes. Dressing up is completely optional, but it’s a fun reminder that not all heroes wear capes. By taking part, you’ll be a hero for the day - walking and raising money to help support children and young people. It’s also a great idea for families joining in together.
